Violet Threads Logo Design
Violet Threads is a handmade children's apparel brand owned by the wonderful artist, Gabrelle Peñaloza. The aim of this project was to design a logo that reflects the brands handcrafted and fun vibe while also incorporating the color violet. The logo emphasizes the violet thread in the graphic as an ode to the brand name, and the whimsical sparkles and swirls give the logo that childlike, magical feel.

Design Concept
To ensure a youthful, whimsical and handmade appearance that alludes to the brands purpose and product, the Violet Threads logo adopts the following design elements and principles. The following features have been integrated into the Violet Threads logo design:
Handwritten Cursive Font: A handwritten, cursive style font was selected to signify the hand-crafted aspect of the Violet Threads brand. This font choice also gives the logo a fun, child-like appearance that pairs well with the overall design.
Thread & Needle Iconography: The thread and needle was chosen to signify the type of product being produced, which is clothing and bows. It also alludes to the hand-crafted nature of hand-sewing garments with a needle and thread.
Violet & Black Color Palette: The client wanted the color violet to be incorporated into the logo as the name of the brand is "Violet Threads." This logo creatively and uniquely incorporates the literal "violet thread" by using black as the main color, and purple as the accent on items such as the thread, sparkles, and subtext.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the Violet Threads logo design project are as follows:
Create a Distinct Visual Identity: This unique and tailored logo design highlights the relationship between the graphic and the brand name, thus creating an eccentric and easily identifiable logo design that stands out from competitors.
Emphasize Handmade Nature of Product: The logo design prioritizes highlighting the hand-crafted aspect of the brands product by incorporating a needle and thread. This graphic signifies the hand-sewn characteristic of the clothing while also identifying the type of product being made.
Incorporate Violet Color: The logo design cleverly incorporates the requested violet color into the full color primary version by highlighting the literal "Violet Thread" as an ode to the brands name.
Appeal to Target Audience: The logo design aims to target a unique audience, primarily younger moms and moms in general. The color choice, typography and iconography all work together to create a whimsical, friendly and fun logo design that appeals to it's target audience while also standing out in a sea of competitor logos.
